Learn the basics of hand sewing with visible mending techniques for repairing your clothes. This 2-hour workshop will cover:
- Different stitches for repairing clothes with decorative stitches
- Practical stitches for broken seams
- The best tools and materials for repairing woven garments
- How to identify woven fabrics
- Each student will create a mending sampler to practice the repair techniques
- This is an introductory class for all skill levels
- Mending kit included in the ticket price – thread snips not included – those and extra sashiko thread can be purchased after class

Pressed Flower Floating Frames With Monarch Beauty Flower Farm

Learn the basics of hand sewing with visible mending techniques for repairing your clothes. This 2-hour workshop will cover:
- In this workshop Monarch Beauty Farm teaches the foundations of flower and leaf pressing to capture vibrant and beautifully preserved botanicals.
- In this hands-on class, participants will create their own Floralscapes using naturally pressed flowers from Monarch’s Beauty Farm’s gardens, all grown using sustainable farming practices. We’ll use a 5×7 floating frame.You will take home a beautiful hanging botanical art piece you can display in your home or give as a gift to a loved one. All materials are included.
- Workshop lasts approximately 90 minutes. No experience necessary. Grab a friend or join the workshop solo.
