Making Chicago Zero-Waste
Based in Chicago’s historic Humboldt Park neighborhood, we are a small business dedicated to making your life easier and more sustainable. We offer a range of products from throughout the midwest and broader United States that will keep your home clean and fresh, while giving back to the Earth.
Our Mission:
Closing The Loop
A system in which all elements of production are reused. This process has no waste involved. The Refilleri strictly stocks refill items that are closed-loop!

Manufacturing
We only work with companies that are creating sustainable products by using natural ingredients and engaging in ethical manufacturing practices. All brands and merchandise in the the Refilleri are local to the USA and Canada.

Shipping
Manufacturers ship products to us in bulk, often incorporating large bladder and plastic drums of product. These products are sent in large orders with slow, ground shipping to reduce carbon emissions in the shipping process.

In Our Shop
When a product arrives at our store, we put it in our back stock after filling our blown glass containers. We then fill these containers until the product is all gone. After that we wash out the back stock containers and return them to our manufacturer for them to reuse these drums and bladders again!

Questions
Can I bring my own containers?
We love when people bring their own containers to fill at our store! Feel free to bring any container to use, big or small!
I forgot my container!
No worries! We all forget things. We happily accept WASHED containers from our community. We then wash them and return them to the store floor for everyone to use for free!
If you are looking for something ~aesthetic~ we have Refilleri branded bottles for sale that come with a 10% off discount of any product used to fill them!
How does refilling work?
We charge per ounce (and grams) for all of our refill products! When you come into the store, you simply weigh your container, fill, then weigh again! We then charge you for the weight of the product inside!
Do you accept Apple Pay/ Samsung Pay? What about cash?
We happily accept most major credit cards as well as Apple/ Samsung/ Google Pay! We are a cash free store.
Why are you out of things?
With being an environmentally minded store, we are making sure to order our bulk products around the same time as other products from the same brands. This in combination works with the slow shipping many of our manufactures use means there are times that things are sold out. We know this can be frustrating but, we always some version of your favorite product in stock!
Can I recycle anything here?
Absolutely! We work with EcoShip, Terracycle, and Got Sneakers!
